Newsletter – May 2026

Dear Friends,

It is always a joy for me to share with you what God is doing in my life, in the ministry, and in the Swiss-German region.

I thank God for allowing me to find a better apartment. Since the end of February, I have been living in Weil am Rhein, the “three-country city” in southern Germany.

I am also very happy to tell you that God has provided me with the car I’ve been praying for so long. I’ve named it Theo, which means “God’s gift.”

I am grateful for the support and generosity of my friends and my home church Oikos.

Outreach Teams

• Chile

From January 5th to 19th, I coordinated an outreach team from YWAM Pichilemu.

“Our time in Basel and Lörrach was truly special. We thank God and the brothers and sisters who hosted us without expecting anything in return; through fellowship with them, we got to know a part of the heart of Germany and Switzerland. We also served at the House of Prayer, where we were able to experience the great, burning flame of the church in Switzerland. We also helped with the DAN ministry by organizing food markets for migrants and were blessed by the generosity of this organization.

We were deeply impressed by the work of Pastor Dan Backlund and his church for refugees; we pray that God will open doors and that even more people may be blessed. Our most beautiful day was the walk through the cold Basel night as we evangelized on the streets.

Europe is a continent waiting for God’s children to go and proclaim the good news, and that is exactly what we experienced: young people who were hungry to hear about God. We hope to return soon and learn much more about what God is doing in these two countries.” Luisa Guzmán, team leader.

• Brazil

From March 6th to 14th, I organized the activities of a team from Brazil.

Some of the ministries the team supported in Basel were DAN, ELIM, a Pro-Life Campaign, and House of Prayer. They also participated in some programs with the Baptist Church in Lörrach and evangelism with Netzwerk Lörrach.

I thank God for all the support from our friends at the Baptist Church in Lörrach in organizing accommodations for the teams and for the teamwork with local ministries in the region.

Area Leaders Gathering

From February 2nd to 5th we held our Area Leaders’ Meeting in Berlin.

Our area covers the YWAM bases in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg. It was a time to seek the Lord, worship together, be inspired by God’s Word through excellent teachers, pray for the nations, and encourage one another.

Together with two of the teams I work with at YWAM Europe—the Partnership Initiative and the Ministry Partner Development—we coordinated two of the conference workshops.

Lucca, Italy

From March 17th to 25th, I had the opportunity to visit my friends and pastors at “La Via” church in Lucca. It was a great joy to see them again and share with them what God has done in these last years. I also had the opportunity to serve the church through worship, teaching, and sharing beautiful times of fellowship and prayer. They are a wonderful community and precious friends who hold a special place in my heart!

PraiseCamp26

On April 22, together with Stefan Fischer, we organized a special meeting with leaders from Basel at the House of Prayer to discuss the planning for the evangelism event that will take place during PraiseCamp26, to hear their ideas, to collaborate with the local church, and to provide follow-up for those interested in learning more about Jesus.
