Special greetings from Basel & Freiburg

It is always a joy for me to be able to share with you what God is doing in my life,

in YWAM Basel and the new opportunities to serve and to do missions in Germany.

I am more than thankful with God for the new things He is doing among us and I am also very grateful with you for your friendship and your faithful support through your prayers, finances and words of encouragement. May you be blessed and rewarded for all you have done for Him and His kingdom!

Special visits

YWAM Wiler & YWAM Olten

At the beginning of March we had the privilege to host the leadership team from YWAM Wiler, who were having a special retreat, and the leadership seminar of YWAM Olten. Both bases were such a great blessing for us. They are dear friends and we enjoyed a lot their presence in our base.

Leading Worship

Basel, Biel & Freiburg, Friedlingen

I love seeing the nations worshipping Jesus and leading worship is one of the things that I enjoy the most. These last months, I had the opportunity to lead worship at a women's conference called Shapira organized by Oikos church in Basel. I was also invited to be part of the annual event of the Swiss missionary organization SIM in Biel. In different occasions,

I supported the House of prayer in Freiburg and it was a joy to be part of the worship night organized by Living Hope in Friedlingen.

God's Heart for Europe

Eimeldingen & Lausanne

I think God is expanding my heart to be able to love more Germany and Switzerland and to have a closer perspective of His plans for Europe. At the end of March, I got invited to be part of Europe Shall be Saved conference in Eimeldingen. It was amazing to see how God is moving through so many different ministries throughout Europe with the same goal, that in the next 10 years Europe may experience a special revival that will bring transformation to this continent. At this conference I could connect with some ministries and churches in Germany, specially.

Then, at the beginning of May, I could attend the Megacities meeting in YWAM Lausanne. Leaders from different YWAM locations in Switzerland gathered to hear God's heart for Switzerland and to learn from the experience of Megacitites ministry in the nations. What an honor!

Teaching

Olten & Basel

From 11th to 13th of May was celebrated in Olten the largest Catholic festival in the German-speaking Switzerland this year and I got invited to lead one their workshops. I invited Karin Volken, a Catholic staff member from YWAM Wiler to join me in this teaching and together we shared about God's calling, YWAM Switzerland and practical opportunities to get involved into missions.

On the 1st of April, I shared at a latin women's meeting about our call to persevere based on a Bible Study on Hebrews. It was beautiful to share in my own mother tongue, Spanish, among women from my own culture but from different backgrounds.

Special Events

Switzerland

March of Life:

On April 23rd, Christians and Jews we gathered at the border entrance to Lörrach to do an act of remembrance and reconciliation for Israel and to stand against anti-semitism.

Go(o)d evening:

On April 28th, young people from many different churches in Basel we gathered to worship God at the House of Prayer and then to go out to the streets to share the Gospel.

Vision Day:

On May 25th, leaders of Basel we had a special encounter from morning to afternoon to visit different ministries, churches and institutions at the city to hear their vision and prayer requests and to intercede to God for them.

Leadersforum YWAM Deutschweiz:

On June 14th, leaders from YWAM Deutsch-Schweiz we had a special meeting to worship, pray, encourage one another, hear from God for Switzerland and to proclaim His purposes for this generation.

Grill JC2033:

On June 30th, volunteers and staff members of JC2033 Movement we celebrated a special time of fellowship to strengthen our bonds and to thank one another.

Special Events

Germany

Conveners Retreat in YWAM Freiburg:

From April 5th to 6th, the conveners of YWAM Deutsch-Schweiz, we had our retreat at YWAM Freiburg. This was a special time to to have fellowship, to seek God together for Switzerland, and to plan new ways to serve better the leaders in our region.

YWAM Germany National Gathering:

From 18th to 21st of May, staff and leaders in YWAM Germany, we met at YWAM Hurlach for our national gathering. It was a precious time for me to meet so many new people, worship together with them, and to hear so many testimonies of what God is doing and wants to do in this generation in Germany. We also had the special speech of Loren Cunningham who challenged us to embrace God's inheritance for this nation: to make impossible things possible through the power of God.

Outreach time in Freiburg:

During my time in Freiburg, I have been able to get in touch with christian ministries through the contacts of YWAM Freiburg and some other organizations. That is the reason why I could coordinate an outreach week from 29th of May to June 4th for the DTS Outreach from YWAM Cartagena, Colombia.

During this week, we had the opportunity to serve at the House of Prayer and to attend to Calvary Chapel. We participated in a Camp with inmigrant kids with Stadtpiraten Ministry and we did evangelism on the streets together with Reviving ministry.

Teams

YWAM Basel

YWAM CARTAGENA - SALZBURG - UGANDA - ALABAMA

On May and June, we received different international teams who were such a blessing in Switzerland and Germany through evangelism on the streets, supporting events and activities of the local church, and being part of different projects of social ministries in Basel.

Bibel für alle

Basel-Kleinhüningen

From July 3rd to 7th, we carried out the first Bible Distribution Campaign in Basel-Kleinhüningen with the support of the Couples-DTS Outreach Team from YWAM Wiler. We visited 496 homes and we shared 49 Bibles, New Testaments and QR-Codes with Digital Bibles in 17 Languages: Albanian, Chinese, Arabic, German, Ukrainian Russian, French, Serbian, Portuguese, Polish, Spanish, Romanian, English, Italian, Kurdish, Farsi and Turkish.

We believe the Word of God in the mother tongue is the best gift people can receive and we invite you to join us in our next Bible Distribution Campaigns or support us with your prayers and financial gifts to be able to buy new Bibles in more languages.

Celebrations

37th birthday & 20th anniversary

On June 8th and 10th, I celebrated my birthday 37th with my friends at YWAM Basel and with some friends from Basel. I felt very loved and honored by all of them!

On July 7th 2003, I did my Discipleship Training School in YWAM El Salvador, and since then I have been serving God in missions through Youth With A Mission. I thank God for the YWAM Wiler team who celebrated and blessed me on this special date.

Next Steps

Italy & Basel

Church Visit in Lucca, Italy:

From July 17th to 24th, I will be visiting the dear pastors and friends of a church in Lucca, Italy. I have known them for 10 years and I am looking forward to see them again. During this week I will be visiting the young people in their homes, organizing some discipleship meetings with them and having times of prayer, worship and evangelism (if possible) with the members of the church.

Start of the Discipleship Bible School:

During the next couple of weeks, staff and students of our first Discipleship Bible School will start to arrive in Basel for the beginning of the School on July 31st.

A team from YWAM Cartagena will come to pioneer this School at YWAM Basel and we are very excited to see what God will do in the student's lives but also in our local friends hearts as they join us for some open classes at nights.
