Dear Friend,

Warm greetings to you from German-speaking Switzerland!

I hope you are having a wonderful year filled with God's presence and that in everything you do, you may experience His guidance, protection, care, love, and grace.

As the years go by, I realise that challenges and difficulties are an opportunity to get to know our beloved God better and to invite Him into the deepest parts of our hearts so that He may be the only Lord of our lives.

My prayer for you and for me is that together we may honour God's presence in our hearts, that our love for Him may become ever more pure and sincere, and that little by little we may become more and more like His beloved Son Jesus.

Ywam Basel

Throughout this year, missionaries and international leaders with a heart for Switzerland and Europe have been staying at the YWAM Basel facilities in Chrischona.

Arise Conference

From the 11th to the 13th of April, we had the privilege of hosting pastors and leaders from India, Switzerland, and Europe who were attending the ‘ARISE’ conference organised by my church, Oikos. During these days, I was able to support my church in a practical way by being part of the team responsible for registering attendees and selling the speakers' books.

Bible Distribution in Yverdon

From the 16th to the 18th of April, I was invited by YWAM Yverdon to coordinate a Bible distribution campaign during their Easter camp. Over these three days, we visited around 1,000 homes and shared French Bibles and QR codes with digital Bibles to Portuguese, Tibetan, German, Italian, and Spanish speakers.

Outreach Teams

From the end of April to the end of May, we had visits from two outreach teams from YWAM Cartagena, Colombia, and a team from the J9 Discipleship Ministry in Salzburg, Austria. During this time, we supported several ministries in Basel, including Netzwerk, DAN, HOP, ELIM, and the refugee ministry with the NCF church. We were also in Lörrach supporting the Baptist church and the Netzwerk ministry.

From the 10th to the 18th of May, during the week of the Eurovision Song Contest, we were part of different evangelism strategies in the city organised by the Evangelical Alliance of Basel. It was beautiful to see how different ministries and churches in the city worked together to make Jesus known to thousands of visitors from around 37 European countries.

Bible Distribution in Basel-Klybeck

From August 4th to 6th, in cooperation with the youth camp organised by the Bridgetown Church and with the support of local friends, we carried out a Bible distribution campaign in the Basel-Klybeck region. Together, we were able to visit 881 homes and share 46 Bibles and New Testaments in German, Turkish, Persian, Farsi, Albanian, English, Kurdish, Tigrinya, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, and Bulgarian. We also shared 10 QR codes with people who speak Albanian, Persian, Slovak, Dari, Tamil, Spanish, Somali, Italian, and Bulgarian.

It is a great privilege to share the Word of God in the mother tongue of the families in the city. We pray that this seed will bear eternal fruit in their hearts and that they will surrender their lives to Jesus.

Ywam Europe

European Leaders Gathering, Albania

From the 3rd to the 7th of February, around 300 leaders from YWAM Europe gathered in Albania to worship God together, intercede for Europe, hear testimonies of what God is doing on this continent, and be inspired and encouraged by one another.

Ywam Strasbourg

From March 3rd to 7th, I taught the topic of Identity and Fatherhood to students at the YWAM Strasbourg Discipleship Training School in France. It was beautiful to hear their stories of how God has established them in this nation and how they are working together with the local church. It was also very rewarding to hear the students' testimonies at the end of the week about how God had spoken to them through the teachings and how their lives had been touched by Him.

Ywam Swiss-German

As convening team for YWAM Swiss-German, we coordinate meetings with leaders in our region throughout the year to seek God together, share projects, inspire one another, and encourage each other to remain faithful to God's calling based on the guidelines and foundations that God gave to YWAM through its founders.

Ywam Germany

From May 29th to June 1st, we had the annual meeting of YWAM Germany. Since I live in Lörrach, Germany, and do pioneering mission work on the German border through the organisation Go Global, I am also part of YWAM Germany.

Around 300 YWAMers from different bases and ministries gathered at the YWAM castle in Hurlach. I was able to see how new YWAM communities are starting and how YWAM Germany is growing. The times of worship, intercession, and teaching were very filled with God's presence. It was a very refreshing time!

Local & Global Church

Jc2033

From February 26th to 28th, the latest global meeting of the JC2033 movement was held in Geneva, Switzerland. The movement aims to celebrate the 2000th anniversary of Jesus' resurrection throughout the world as a testimony to the nations. More than 200 Christian leaders from different denominations and around 35 countries gathered to participate in this great meeting and share this vision based on unity, celebration, and global witness.

Personally, I had the opportunity to be part of the event's translation team, and as one of the JC2033 ambassadors, I continue to share the vision with leaders and pastors in Switzerland and Germany. My desire is that many more will be part of this great global celebration that will surely mark the history of the nations.

Support in Worship

I continue to support the worship ministry of the Baptist Church and the FEG Church in Lörrach, and occasionally the Alban Arbeit Church and my church, Oikos, in Basel.

I love being part of bringing worship to Jesus in the midst of the nations!
